Categories

     There will be a contest in two categories:

• Vocal groups (3-8 members)

• Solo singers (singer who may be accompanied by instrumental group)

     Rules of the contest

• Participants age should be between 14-30 years.

• Not more than 8 persons on the stage.

• 3-8 members in a vocal group

• Only natural instruments (piano, etc) are allowed to accompany.

• 2   songs    should   be  performed  ( one  compulsory  song   from  an

    Estonian composer and the other is upon performer’s choice).

• Vocal groups should perform at least one song a cappella.

• The   program   should   not   last   over   10  minutes   ( includes   the

    appearance and leaving the stage).

• Performes can not use the help of a conductor.

• Microphones  are  used during the contest, but fonogrammes  are  not

    allowed. Using   your  own   sound-technique  is   prohibited  also  but

    everyobody can use the help of their own sound operator.

     Evaluation

     5-member evaluation team will take into concideration:

• The vocal level and intonation of participants

• The performance and  arrangement of the compulsory Estonian  song

• The  perfomance   and   arrangement   of  a  voluntary  song.  Song’s

    suitability to performer is important also.

• Harmony of voices and the accord of a group

• Co-operation with instrumental group and the feeling on the stage.
